Everyone has their own unique starting point. ​CAVA teaches you how to plan and deliver assessment using a range of methods and situations. You'll gain an appreciation of the role of the assessor and how it fits into your employer's operation as well as the overall learning and development profession. ​The IQA qualification will teach you about the importance of quality assuring assessment, how to ensure compliance with stakeholder requirements, and how to plan quality assurance activities. You'll gain an appreciation of assessor standardisation activities, how to sample assessment according to need, and how to play a productive role in the continuous improvement agenda for your organisation. ​AET will teach you about your role and responsibilities in education and training, and ensure you gain a good grasp of the principles and practices of assessment (if you don't already hold a qualification in this respect). You'll learn how to facilitate learning for groups or individuals (depending on your role) and you'll put your skills to the test by preparing and delivering a micro-teach session on a topic of your choice.
